By Taylor Barrett
Joe was a legend, the most iconic local musician I have and will ever know. He was a special person that lit up the faces of everyone in the room, and the unique part about Joe was how content he was with his circuit of mainly small town gigs. He never demanded fame or even aspired to be famous by the standard definition of the music industry. He simply wanted to make you dance, make you smile, and even share his knowledge of music so that others could find joy in playing music much like he did. He was a beacon of light that spread love throughout his lifetime and will continue to inspire everyone through his legacy. We will miss him dearly and the Bozeman music scene will never quite be the same, but I know that he will waiting on the other side, strumming his guitar and welcoming us all when we are reunited again.

Thank you for all you’ve done for this world. We will miss you Joe 🙏
In honor of Joe and the many bands that he was a part of, we have compiled videos of our own and from the community to commemorate his amazing life. Please enjoy and remember to spend time with your friends and loved ones during these hard times. Bozeman is such a strong community, and I’m always impressed to see the support that this town has to give.
